now toots - i always have to hit #10 to get my niece/nephew their summer wardrobes ....

well, I guess tourists enjoy silver sands, but it really stinks!!! we get last years left overs for prices that are suppose to be discounted but they are surely not! at least in most instances. don't get me started on this crappy excuse for a shopping place!!! I can shop at the high end department stores in Bham, such as Parisians, and get the very best quality for much less when sales are on, which is almost always! Not kidding!

i think i get some pretty good deals at the carters outlet - i only shop there, and the bose store which doesn't give discounts anyway. calm down toots and take a deep breath, and think lovely thoughts of johnny depp....

I was reading #1 without my reading glasses. I thought it said "Watch nipples on Horseshoe Bayou."
I don't have reading glassses, but I thought #1 was about sitting in a swing on the porch of a rusty, weather-beaten double-wide while watching someone pitch horseshoes on the bayou, as you sip on a Seabreeze.

Silver Sands is what it is. I end up getting most of my clothes there, but then I tend to go for nice basics I can wear for year after year rather than anything trendy, and they do well enough with that if you know when to hit the sales.

And then there was the time when we ended up with 50 pairs of identical mens' socks because the Polo store was selling them for $0.50 per pair. Mr. Mouse got through a good chunk of the semester going to work with brand spankin' new socks every day.

I certainly hope you don't think that men have a problem with owning many pair of identical socks or underwear. A deal is a deal.

Question....why are we reading the Birmingham News to tell us what to do in SoWal? Did they even mention SoWal.com? I didn't think so.

sorry. I do like to browse Ralph Lauren and the Gap, and a shoe store or two. the attitude comes from living here so long and the frustration of having no real shopping available, unless you drive to Birmingham...

You just caused people to turn around and look at me. :funn:

My only gripe - Eden State Gardens is 600 years old?!?
I'm sure the TREES are, and that's impressive in itself, but I assure you the Wesley family didn't arrive with Leonardo De Soto or Christopher Columbus.
