Mermy, I don't question the economist speaker's credentials at all, but this whole pitch seems like a sucka punch. The economist speaks, then open the doors and sign 'em up for time-shares, I mean Fractional Ownerships.

I know, that's why I said the economists are interesting, not the whole rest of the deal. I'd have my free drinkie, listen to Dr. Cochrane and hope he was one of the funny, quirky brands of economists (though just in case I'd take a side seat in the rear), and then I'd go. Unless of course I were suckered in by the message. ;-)

It's crystal clear the guy is a shill for a fractional condo sales pitch--probably in return for a "three-hots-and-a-cot Spring Break Getaway," some pocket money, a few rounds of golf, and some lovely parting gifts.
Had he given the talk at a local college campus, open to debate about the future of the local economy...sans the beer and arm-twisting salespeople...well, that's a different story.

There is a Boardwalk Beach Resort and Convention Center at 7600 Thomas not sure if this is where he will be - but would think so.
