Sheriff's office wasting/losing money

There is another existing thread dedicated to the pregnant Sheriff's Deputies being "let go." I don't think it was as clear cut as "they were fired." It sounds like there were some loopholes which indirectly lead to them being terminated due to policy changes. I really don't know any more than I read on that other thread and in the newspaper. Essentially, it sounds like they were fired, but not so cut and dry.

Guess the current job of the guy running in opposition to our current Sheriff. (Think Accounting). I wonder if he noticed the missing money, or if he approved it???

It's my understanding that the current lack of administration skill is one of the main reasons Bill Imfeld's running. His background is as an accountant with the FBI investigating fraud before working with WalCo. The Sheriff alone is the one who is in charge of his spending, the Commissioners only approve the overall budget at the beginning of the year. The Sheriff only answers to the Governor.
