I don't ever remember hearing the Spring songbirds singing this early. usually they start in late February or early March. We've had a number of 60 and 70 degree days lately. Are the birds just enjoying it like we are, or do they know something we don't?

I hope they just know something we don't.

Check out weather.com . Winter will be back at the end of the week.

Yep...and I have always noticed that FEB. is a really wintery month. I remember many freezes in FEB so I dont think we have even GOTTEN our winter yet.

Weather.com doesn't show temps lower than 38 in the next ten days. I don't expect it to not to be cold but I'm wondering if we will have another freeze, or if the birds know it. January and February being the coldest months I doubt it but the birds have me wondering.

Anyone else hearing them and remember them this early?

I don't know what it is an indication of, but we have had a hummingbird at our feeder on the balcony several times a day for the last week. It is sure fun to watch it feed.

OMG. I was just listening to the birds and thinking the same thing as I got on sowal.com and saw this thread. :creepy:

That is strange! Definitely migratory. I was thinking some of the birds I've been hearing are migratory and here at the wrong time of year. Hmmmmmmm

I was wondering if I was the only one.
