It would be great if an officer could sit in Inlet Beach and catch some of these crazy speedsters!!! The speed limit is 45 and I swear after they hit the phillips inlet bridge or pass the backside of Rosemary Beach on 98 the speed stays the same. TOO FAST!!!!

I would love nothing more that to pull over some of the people driving at about 70 MPH...:bang: They come up so fast and then ride your tailgate so close that someone is going to get hurt.

Thank goodness I drive a tank.

People please be careful out there!!!

OH AND WHEN A LIGHT IS GREEN IN ROSEMARY BEACH FOR VEHICLES IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU JUST KEEP WALKING ACROSS THE STREET. FOR GODS SAKE HWY 30-A IS JUST THAT, A HIGHWAY!!!

ok, rant over, is it October yet???:floor:

Here at home, I take down tag numbers and call 911. The main drag between my house and town is 45 mph or less all the way, but there are idiots who go 70 or more, weaving in and out.

Do they have mufflers where you are? Over in Pendergrass it seems you are required to kick off your muffler when you get your license at the DMV.

We've got a few of those. I'm trying hard to ignore them.

You know you're getting old when your childhood friend (& mother of 2) calls to tell you she got pulled for going 120 in a 50 & was laughing because she talked the officer down to 60 with help from a low-cut shirt, while I was trying hard to not yell, "What the hail were you thinking???" At least it was only her in the car & not the kids, too, but she could have killed or been killed at that speed.:bang:

I've seen so many people pulled over there that I consider it a speed trap.

I completely agree with you Kurt. There is a State Trooper who pulls them over left and right. IJS, I have not seen any as of late. Today coming home from Publix was very scarey!!

Did you know that it is unlawful to pass a marked law enforcement vehicle while speeding? Officer Haney explained that to me once.....very kindly. Never knew. Of course, if I'd SEEN him I wouldn't have been speeding like a hat out of bell to begin with, now would I have? (Didn't waste this rhetorical aside on him at the time...)

Was officer Haney lurking in the woods by Publix on 395 S ?????.

Shouldn't be speeding. :nono1:

Or at least that is what I am told at home  !
