Yes maam, that's Miss Smoothie several years back. She's a good old girl at 13 ... those were the days when she could run like crazy!

Miss Kitty, that was a night to remember (good lord I look like a veritable embodiment of Merman's favorite band of old, Tangerine Dream!!) but there's another SoWal photo that makes me smile even more because of all the good things that followed it. It's a picture of the back of your head, and you're wearing a hat with a SoWal sticker that Smiley J slapped on it (if I remember correctly) and you're sitting on a kayak in Western Lake only moments before you took your first dip.
I love it because neither you nor I had ever been on a kayak before and it was a big adventure--and a big leap of faith to even try it!!--and it was the start of so many more perfect and madcap SoWal adventures. That was nearly three years ago and the funn has never stopped. And if I weren't a computer-illiterate you know I'd post the photo, though I know you exactly which one I'm talking about!

...yes, Mermy...I remember! First time to meet SJ, first time in a kayak and first and second time I fell in Western Lake! How I didn't drown from laughing, I'll never know. That's when I knew SJ would be my friend for life...he guided me back in the kayak so calmly an gathered up my floating shoes! The hat...that was my touch. SoWal.com brought us all together! Does SJ have that pic or do you?
I have the photo. I think I may have put it on one of your birthday cards a year or two ago? When Merman comes home I will have him hunt for it and post.
