My own prediction (despite certain polling) is hereunder:

L. Jones
C. Jones
M. Adkinson, Jr.
C. Anderson
B. Drake
M. Wilkerson

The aforementioned predictions does not mean that I will be voting in that manner, although mostly I will.

Do you predict Wilkerson will garner 50 percent plus 1 vote ?

I predict Wilkerson/Nelson will face each other in the November election.

Maybe so, then Wilkerson would win the November election finally. Again, my prediction here does not suggest my own hope, however.

In November the southern precints will vote in numbers. Nelson although in a non-partisan race will benefit from the high republican turnout and win.

Florida using a "Plurality Voting System" where the candidate with the most votes wins, regardless of whether he or she received a majority of votes cast. So this race is over August 26.

Bobby Beasley tells me my race is a majority race. I would figure that since he has been doing the job for a few years he should know. But you may be right. Would be a shame to be posting incorrect information on such an important issue.

I would hope that if our Supervisor of Elections did not know that was what, that Mr. Nelson would since that would have a huge impact on his election strategy. I will defer to their statement as fact.

Aggie is the Vice-Chairman of the Walton County Republican Party and a candidate for Walton County State Committeeman.

Surely one in such a position should know the facts on this issue.

Nelson's race is a majority race.

This attempt to confuse voters is a pitiful example of a total lack of knowledge concerning party issues.

There was no intent to mislead ... and will correct .. the following is the better wording:

Florida no longer has a second primary, meaning the candidate in a partisan primary who gets the most votes will advance to the general election or will be declared the winner if all the candidates are from one party. In nonpartisan races with more than two candidates, however, a winner is determined only if the candidate wins more than 50 percent of the vote. If not, a runoff between the top vote getters face off in November.
