A Few Questions about our Local Elections

Mullet Wrapper

Same sleazy, slimy guy. I say we chip in for an ad attacking this guy personally when the election is over.

I'm disappointed in the Sun for running the ad. At least a daily paper allows time for a response.

The Sun has reduced itself to the status of "Mullet Wrapper" with all of the recent "mistakes". So much for establishing any credible reporting.

What does an ad like that cost in the Sun? I noticed the disclaimer seemed to be lacking and my understanding is if you spend more than $100 you have to file paperwork with the SOE. I assume there will be an investigation and all before this is over with.

Make note and post a list of last minute attack ads and those who campaign illegally six months in advance of the next election. We should also keep tabs on those who joined last minute and posted last minute negative comments during the final week and give a heads up on them six months out next time.

Ms. Meadows ad has the same electioneering reqirements as the Bowick ad, both over 100.00.

Yes; however, Ms Meadows ad for Mr Osborne represented everything the negative ad did not...a positive sincere commentary on her confidence and belief in Osborne's ability and committment for ALL residents of Walton county.
People see through ugly, negative cheap shots as the ad you referenced.
Positive ads with some substance go much further in voters minds.

I keep thinking something similar, but you know they will just join again under a new user name.

Me, I find it instructive to see which candidates DON'T get mud slung at them on SoWal and in the Sun.

Well just recieved 2 phone calls on my cell, Mr. Nelson this registered Republican opposed amendment 1 and voted for Wilkerson. The tax cuts you were so intent upon passing are going to affect services, MY VOTE WENT TO WILKERSON. Second, call from Don Brown, had the opportunity on a few occasions to visit him in Tallahassee and the only people he was interested in representing was the INSURANCE industry. Although I voted for Sherry in the Primary I will be voting for Johnny McDaniel in November.
