The Sheriff is Near in Pt. Washington

Does anyone know why the sheriff's deputy is hanging out on 395 in Pt. Washington? This morning he was sitting next to Eden drive. This afternoon he is parked in the field by the big garden. I was tempted to stop and ask but then didn't think that it was appropriate.
Any ideas? And yes, I have been running up and down 395 but I have been staying under the speed limit, I swear.

I noticed him too and there is another parked on Western Lake Drive in Watercolor. The first thing I thought of was conserving gas????

My source doesn't know, but guesses that there may have been a speed/traffic complaint (they are fairly frequent due to the school and church traffic). If they were looking for someone in particular, he would probably be aware of that. At least I hope.

He was in the neighborhood again this morning. Not sitting by the road but in a driveway talking to a resident on 395. Should we be skeered?

Does it appear to be the same car? If you continue to see it, make a mental note of the number and if it is really worrisome, PM me and I'll try to find something out. But to the best of my knowledge, there is nobody running loose in PW that does not have the legal right to do so.

I was about to say nobody running loose that shouldn't be, but that might not be quite true...

I don't think you have anything to worry about. They may have been trying to finish some paper work. Sometime they will receive assignments on their on board computers. But doesn't it make you feel good to see them in the area? Now if you see three or four... now that could be a different story. But I think all is well.

Mike Adkinson did pull a great deal of support from that area... I would not put it past RJ to try and stick it to all of us, some way, some how. We'll find out more at the next budget meeting...;-)
