Thanks to each of you for your input, criticism, suggestions and support. You are the voice of South Walton. I also want to thank every person who logged on to SoWal without commenting for their interest.
I would like to thank the team that helped me during the election and is still helping me now as well as the many people who have taken the time to speak to me personally. Your words are reassuring and confirm my ideals will work.
I would like to thank the Firefighters for their efforts going beyond the call of duty and for their good words.
Many of us are surprised with the results of the District 5 election. I invite each of you to join me at the next 3 BCC meetings to view the proceedings and develop a sense of comfort with the management style. I further suggest that teams be created with a representative of each team present at the BCC meetings to ensure all of Walton County, including the South is represented and treated fairly. We must make an effort to control our destiny and ensure that someone is looking to the future.
I plead with you to create teams, to organize the citizens of South Walton to participate in local government and also to exercise their most important right for local government.....VOTE!

Running against Sid in the election, I can tell you Sid is a fine man and is genuine in what he says and believes. Hat's off to you sid, join me at the BCC meetings or over in the Driftwood thread, either way we'll have a little fun and participate in local goverment. I enjoyed our conversations and debates during the election season!
