Western Lake at high level

I've only lived here for 6 years, but I don't think I've ever seen the lake higher in that time .... submerged docks in Grayton, the floating docks in WaterColor are way up high, the Seagrove canal is very wide & full.

just a brief point in time, six years is. Most all of the lakes are very high right now. I meant to look at a couple today, which are nearing break out, but forgot. It's a nature-thing.

Western Lake was opened yesterday, by backhoe. By sunset, it was about 15- 20' wide.

The crabbing was amazing- 2 people went home with lots of tasty looking blue crabs. It looked pretty easy- stnad there with a net, grab'em as they were sucked out to the Gulf.

I am looking out my window and see that water that was plumb level with the dock is now a foot below. I'm heading down to the beach pronto to check out what is going on.

I expect a phone call next time!

Six years is a very minute period of time on God's timepiece. I have now learned to be patient with water levels on the dune lakes, thanks to SmilingJoe. I can ignore the situation for as long as I can now( my house is at 20 ft above sea level on Camp Creek Lake.) The fact that I have not even seen my dock on Camp Creek Lake for 3 months is of no importance to God.

People, let the lakes be the lakes and quit trying to mould them into your world of immediate convenience. It would be like trying to make me become straight before this Saturday night.!
