why so many people coming to Grayton feel obligated to stop in Alabama to buy fireworks to shoot at the beach? At this moment the bombs are a-bursting out on Defuniak Street. Why? I guess the show will be over soon because the pyrotechnicians will no doubt be going to sleep early in order to be up with the roosters tomorrow picking up their fireworks trash:roll:

Maybe the tags you've chosen for this post are your answer? :floor:

Because they stop at the humongous Shelton Fireworks in Cusseta, Alerbamer, not too far from the GA state line on I-85.

We have been guilty of using their products on the beach. We do clean up our mess.

Yeah but that was New Year's Eve. I understand July 4th and New Year's...but Palm Sunday? Did I miss something about the Pharisees tossing bottle rockets at Jesus as he entered Jerusalem?:idontno:

Well, there are so many fireworks going off in Seagrove that Pepper is scared to go outside and take care of business.:bang:

It's pop-pop-pop here, too.

:blink:Oh My Gosh Skunky....there is NO explanation. That's been going on in Grayton for as long as I can remember. It used to be just the locals that would get out there and I'd be trying to keep my toddler Kalie out of the firing range. There once was a time when we loved living in Grayton....I wouldn't even think of living any other place....especially as far away as SeaGrove :funn: . Back then that was a long drive. Dune Allen was a place you passed twice a month when you went to WalMart for groceries. But life changed in Grayton in a number of ways. I still miss the old days in Grayton, but I've loved the quiet we found in other neat places along 30A. I think if you get the chance to live in Grayton at least once....even for 6 months you've been blessed.

Happy Early 4th of July!!!!!

There was a big announcement on TeLevicticus about the bottle rocket tossing last night. Perhaps you missed it? :idontno:

NO, any and all "real" fireworks are ILLEGAL any where in the state of Florida. They are mostly overlooked in Grayton only on the 4th of July.
