Whale shark video

It's not the best quality. I was playing with a new Flip Video Camera and just grabbed a few shots after the swim. It ends with one of the sharks. You can get a good idea how big they are...and this was one of the small ones.

The little Flip Video cam is pretty neat for quick low-res videos and comes loaded with a program that lets you make movies. Movie Maker is more versitile, but's it's good for what it is!

Just to give you some quick info. The first shot looks over the Ocean Voyager tank. You can't tell from the shot, but it's just over a football field long and holds 6.3 million gallons of salt water making it the largest aquarium habitat in the world.

The second shot is of the holding tank where they keep new fish sequestered until they are ready for release. If you look closely, you will see a hawk nose ray.

The third shot is just of fish in the shallow end where we got it.

The last shot is of Yushan, I believe. He's named for the island where he was caught.

Very cool, SinginChicken. Could you get in that pool of water with them?

Have y'all been to Cayman and played with the stingrays there? It really is amazing to be in their world~~~~~

GA Aquarium is on my list this year for certain - thank you for sharing your experience!!

That is a cool video SC. I am wondering though, did you time travel to the future? The date on the video says May 13, 2009. ;-)

Yeah...I realized that after I made it and already deleted the individual videos so I can't remake it. Actually, it hasn't happened, yet, but through a space and time continunum or worm hole I can show you what's going to happen in two weeks!
