*****bump**** This question sort of fell in a hole. Here's another: Who is in seat two now?
Mudslinging? Apparently you really don't know Ro. I've always thought of mudslinging as being about lies.
Kramer? that should be interesting
I see ads in the Defuniak Herald that Scott Brannon's relative is running for Freeport City Council.

Considering that Commissioner Brannon's father ran for Governor, I don't know that we are limiting the number of related people. I don't know Ms Brannon, but anytime I see one family running, or attempting to run, local government, I know that we won't get a fair and balanced gov't. They may have to change the name to the "good ole boy and gal network."
If those three are the final choice for BCC, I'd like to announce my early support for incumbent, Sarah Comander. I think she is doing a good job as County Commissioner right now, and she seems to have the public in mind when she is making decisions. She has an opinion, and yet, is willing to listen to the public. That is exactly the type of person we need on the BCC.
This post sums up both situations nicely. Good job, SJ.Considering that Commissioner Brannon's father ran for Governor, I don't know that we are limiting the number of related people. If you want some facts on Ro Cuchens' actions while on the BCC, I'll be happy to dig up plenty of juicy stuff, real and factual, such as his misuse of County Gov't letterhead to request permits to the DEP, insinuating the requests were coming from the County, rather than himself as a seawall builder. Or, perhaps you would like to see evidence of Ro's company building private sewalls on Gov't property, aka, the beach. Or, maybe you would be interested in reading through testimony that Mr Cuchens told County staff to approve the dark sand which didn't meet the Code, to be dumped onto the beach in Blue Mtn Beach, which was later removed after the citizens raised stink about the dirt being dumped on the beach. Maybe I'll just wait for his name to actually appear on the ballot, but Mr Cuchens has shown from his past seat on the BCC that he isn't worthy of being in such position, and that he didn't have the public in mind with his actions as a Commissioner.
