Our dog was kenneled in Disney's Epcot kennel last week for three nights. (he did go on a hunger strike for those three days, but that has nothing to do with this post)
While we were there, I thought, he's a paying guest staying in a Disney Resort, why shouldn't he be able to have a professionally taken photo in Epcot? So I asked at the kennel front desk if they do that, and they said nobody has ever asked before......
So I asked at Guest Relations if it's possible, because it requires going thru security. The Guest Relations supervisor was a total dog lover, and she said, if he's a guest, he should get his picture taken with your family. So after much wrangling, including a scrap with a not-so-nice security guard, he was permitted in with us to have our photo taken in front of that infamous ball. The photographer, Susan, was a really nice lady from Pensacola and was a total dog lover herself. She said she'd never gotten a request for it before, but was totally into it.
When we went to look at the photos a day later in a different park, the man in the photo store was pulling up the photos, and i said, you may see something unusual in these photos...he said, Oh, THESE are the dog photos....I heard about these...and he laughed. I said have you ever seen a dog in photos, he said never, in 10 years of being here.....
Now, if they start playing Disney tunes on the kennel loudspeaker and showing Disney movies in the play yard at night, then I'll be inquiring about a consultants job.....
