I have worked in the 'helping profession' before and hated how tax payer money was dolled out. To me, it was criminal. But the various entities knew the system so well there would never be issues.

And to the point someone here made about Fox news trying to keep people from the bigger issues, Wow! First of all, I heard about this on CNN and why the heck do people bring up Fox news anytime a real issue surfaces?

Just because we have BIGGER issues doesn't mean someone stealing a bike in Seagrove should get away with it or problems with Acorn should be ignored.

And personally, I think Acorn has been up to some devious, self-serving things since they were put in the money loop. I made an observation earlier this summer and got some flack from it. But I was told by someone that Acorn and institutions like it which recieved stimulus funds, was finding ways to disseminate the money to those they saw fit to. And if you didn't notice something different from last year then so be it. But I did.

Not judging. It just made me more curious about how our tax payer funds were being given out. I just think entities like Acorn or on the opposite end, an Arien Nation type organization, should have no place in receiving tax payer dollars. But... I'm not President

These people paid no attention to any of the information that was out there during the election, and reason being their chosen media source had no desire to share the information. Even if they knew this information, still some would have voted for him anyway. Don't blame me, I voted for the war hero

His status as a war hero is debatable. Certainly he suffered terribly and exhibited tremendous strength, but does being shot down and captured make one a hero? The presidency is too serious to hand out sympathy votes. I do believe at times McCain exhibited a certain strength of character, but it soon became clear that he lacked the temperament to lead our country. Furthermore, he became a puppet of the extreme right, essentially the Republican party base. As for his running mate, I shudder when I think of that.

Two employees at the Baltimore, Maryland, branch of the liberal community organizing group ACORN were caught on tape allegedly offering advice to a pair posing as a pimp and prostitute on setting up a prostitution ring and evading the IRS.
Stuart Katzenberg, lead organizer for ACORN's Maryland chapter, told the Baltimore Sun that both ACORN employees were fired because they "did not meet ACORN's standards of professionalism."
Sonja Merchant-Jones, chair of Baltimore City ACORN, told CNN affiliate WMAR-TV that the fired workers were seasonal, part-time employees and that no senior ACORN staff members were in the building at the time the film was made.
Scott Levenson, a spokesman at ACORN's national offices said, "The portrayal is false and defamatory and an attempt at 'gotcha journalism.' "This film crew tried to pull this sham at other offices and failed. ACORN wants to see the full video before commenting further," Levenson said.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs told POLITICO that CNN should attend the Coast Guard's noon press conference where they'll explain the exercise on the Potomac.
"My only caution would be that before we report things like this, checking would be good," Gibbs said.
Later, Gibbs and CNN's Elaine Quijano had a heated exchanged during a gaggle with reporters, where the press secretary said it was "a little hard to divorce the media coverage" from her questions. Gibbs said his criticism wasn't of her, "just writ large at CNN."

Where is the outrage? How can this be remotely defended by any American? And it does not matter if you are right, left or polka dotted, this is not acceptable behavior, period. ACORN has access now to 8 BILLION dollars of your taxpayer money from the stimulus package. How can they continue to be supported?

You guys are jumping to conclusions. A large part of ACORN's money is sent to a dilapidated building on Elysian Fields Avenue in New Orleans, La. and those of us from the Big Easy know that no criminal element or activity is present in that part of the City. It's all cool, bro. The ACORN stimulus funds are being properly stored in aluminum foil in a refrigerator/freezer in convicted ex democratic congressman Bill Jefferson's house.

Acorn does the same thing every time they are caught red handed. They fire the person and say they weren't a permanent staff member. Where would anyone, permanent staff or non, get the idea that whore house consulting with underage imported help is appropriate if not advised to do so by the company. And, not to mention, with two separate incidences??? This is the same organization that our President is so in bed with it isn't even the slightest bit funny. More so, it is down right disturbing. 8 BILLION DOLLARS PEOPLE

Its too bad you have neither the wherewithall or experience to discern the "false" and "defamatory" from the what is actual.
The non-biased news source, whoever it is, reported a terrorist attack that never happened because they didn't bother to make sure their source was correct and creditable. So why am I not surprised. The mainstream media either doesn't report it or gets it wrong half the time.
And, oh yes, I love your idea of freedom of speech. Let's all censor Fox News because they might tell it like it really is and we think all that don't agree with us should be shut up.
I really admire your idea of how our "freedoms" should be administered. Maybe you should spend some time reading the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
