Passing through the channels I noticed Glen Beck had an audience full of Black Conservatives, including the panel. It was refreshing to hear these conservatives speak in non-political terms and in a down to Earth common sense approach.
They talked about 'Planation ploitics' and about how the socialist ideoligies and liberal and democratic party policies are inherentaly racist. Immigrants discussed there moving to this country in search of personal freedom and being so oposed to what they are currently seeing.
Listening to these conservatives, who also discussed the ridicule they received for being black and a conservative, was an interesting dialogue to absorb. Sometimes 'we' don't allow 'white' people to makje certain statements, as if it is not our right. So it was very refreshing to hear these Americans speaking with common sense. They spoke about freedom and personal responsibility and spoke about there concern with policies that reinforce poverty and the ideology that reinforces it. Being fiscally conservative doesn't need to be a color thing, and it's not.
I dislike both parties. But we all know that Conservatives, particularly in the Repulican party are considered 'racists' by many people. This Glen Beck show was refreshing and much needed. I wish more opinions of black Americans like this were covered by the media, ratehr than have the Al Sharptons and Jessie Jacksons, who are the true racists. I think that would help us to feel more like a family in this country.
The audience I saw today made me feel proud and made me feel a fellowship with them.
