It's December, people

New posts
Until Saturday night, my plan was to keep up the orange as long as possible. After "the" game I was ready to throw the pumpkins into the TV. Pumpkins went bye-bye.

Still haven't gotten rid of the pumpkins in GA. Too cold to spend much time outside!

Should explain my rant, neighbor who has three confederate flags, a natifity scene, a blow up Santa, a dressup goose, ma and pa in their hillbilly duds, and yes ---- wait for it ----- a urinal with dead flowers, still has pumpkins on her porch

I though I had it bad

The pumpkins are starting to sound like an improvement.

Seriously!

A urinal is a new one - I've seen toilets used as planters and floor urinals used as a fountain, but I am picturing the standard wall urinal leaning against the house w/ weeds in it!

Set in concrete right in the middle of the yard, it had fake flowers last winter, had red geraniums this summmer now frost bitten to oblivion. They had a for sale by owner sign on the house for awhile but its gone now.

I'd sure like to see some imagination with the decorations this year, not just the same old white lights draping the trees! How about some color?!!

We used the flagpole, a couple trees, and some rope and stakes to make 3 sailboats racing in colored lights w/ white "waves" on the bushes near the house.

I'm a card carrying member of the Pumpkin Anti-defamation League and all ya'll are officially on report and this will go on your Permanent Record!:floor::floor::floor:

I am a member too Lake View! I NEVER carve my pumpkins. They stay on my front porch forever. sometimes into the new year - if they are doing okay. maybe I'll at least move Mr. Pumpkin out off the porch and into the garden and let him hang out there a while.

omc - BMF - why the hail are you worried about a pumpkin? :lolabove::biggrin:

I saw Santa Claus hanging from a tree in Seagrove just yesterday. it looked kind of ... strange.. to see Santa hanging from a tree - with string or rope tied around his head or neck. maybe he is suppose to appear to be suspended in mid air? still.. very strange.
