To iPhone or not

ok...more questions...GB recommendation?? 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB? What is the difference in the 3Gs and the regular 3G?

Definitely more than 8 - I just have the Ipod touch and I have already maxed out the memory w/o adding any aps, just music.

I certainly appreciate all the comments on here. They have been extremely helpful. After reading these posts and other articles, I decided to try the new Motorola Droid with Verizon. I have been with Alltel for 11 years, so I was inclined to stick with them.

One very important note: state law allows you to have a 30 trial of any cell phone plan. This allows you to check coverage as well as phone suitability. I confirmed this is true with the Verizon representative.

The Droid is Google's answer to the iphone. The newest model that I got has a "slide open" keyboard. Just got it yesterday. I will let you know my opinion in 30 days. So far, though, it is the coolest thing I have ever seen.

The Louvre iPhone App's Like Being There Without the Plane Ticket

If you're not traveling to Paris anytime soon to visit The Louvre, then grab the art museum's free iPhone app. It's packed with enough info about its famous paintings to make you feel like you're there on a private tour.
This amazingly slick free app provides a virtual tour of its galleries and lets users check out the works of everyone from DaVinci to Michelangelo. The app gets you up close and personal with paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, and even the French Crown Jewels. Each image comes with its own set of data including the history of the piece, a zoomable photo, technical info like when it arrived at the museum, and even the exact location where it's housed at the Louvre. Some images even include in-depth videos about the piece.
The Louvre app is more than just a way to look at pretty pictures, though. You can also whip through a tour of the building, check out a formal royal palace located on museum grounds, and get visitor information if you plan to go there in person.
This a really fantastic way to browse the art collection of one of the most famous museums on the planet, but it also makes a great tool for teaching kids about art. Got any favorite apps for checking out museums that are too far away to visit? Let us know in the comments.

The 3Gs is the newest model. I got the 3G 16GB last year. 16GB was the largest storage at the time. I'd buy the most you could afford for storage if you want to transfer an itunes library and have plenty of space for video, photos and apps.

The prices have dropped since I bought mine, too:angry:

Good guide.

The info and tours it provides is cool, but there is really no substitute for seeing the art in person and 3-D.

Downloading it now!

I think this one is one of the best apps!

I'm using a new list app, and developing an entire grocery list/inventory. so far, its pretty handy in the grocery store. but I'm still in the entering items phase so its a bit time consuming. Its easy though and it will be a great help - no more writing a list. just check the items needed. when you purchase them, check it to remove.

you can also use the list app for any other kind of shopping or list making - such as music to buy, or movies to see, etc.
