Not sure what the temp is but we go every year the last week in May and it is great, it is not extremely hot, can stay out all day. My grandson does not have any problem with the water temp.

May is without a doubt the best month out of the year, no crowds, no traffic, and perfect 70-80 degree weather. I prefer early May, toward the end of the month it starts feeling like summer. In early May you don't need a/c, you can open up all the windows and enjoy the sea air. The ocean is swimmable but cool.
