"I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News. It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news," Palin said in a written release.
ya gotta admit its brilliant. this kind of entertainment brings in the viewers big time. it keeps Fox in the lead and so I guess they can claim fair and balanced news and get away with it.
You know that the viewers will grow. People will tune in just to see her and either agree with her reporting or find something about her to discuss on forums or at the office that they disagree with - either way, people are talking. It is a wow factor.
Having given up my broadcast tv (only use it now for Netflix) I will miss out on seeing Palin and Idol. Oh but life goes on! Y'all will have to post The Best Of Palin for me.
I think she'll stick this job out a surprisingly long time- this kind of thing is what she seemed to always want to do when she grew up, and she can surround herself with a good number of people who will say 'yes' to her all of the time on both the production and viewership end.
And Stewart and Colbert and their writers just had their MLK holiday weekend come early this year.
Beck said it would have to be a Beck/ Palin ticket, cuz Palin would be yapping and he would be thinking about how she needed to go in the kitchen and bake a pie. No joke, his comment was really close to that.
She was a TV reporter in Alaska before she befriended the Mayors wife at the gym and decided to run for city Council with their support. She then went after the Mayors job and that is a story in itself according to those involved.
Becks quote:
BECK: I don’t think things are hoots. I don’t. I don’t think it’s a hoot. I would never use the word hoot, and I respectfully ask that every time my name is brought up she would stop using the word “hoot.” [...]
No, no I’m just saying — Beck-Palin, I’ll consider. But Palin-Beck — can you imagine, can you imagine what an administration with the two of us would be like? What? Come on! She’d be yapping or something, and I’d say, “I’m sorry, why am I hearing your voice? I’m not in the kitchen.”
