It's been quiet and somewhat civil

My now-almost-grown teenager refused to participate in potty-training until, with his older cousin during our evacuation from Hurricane Opal, he discovered GOING OUTDOORS.

Problem was, after we got home, he would run outside to pee off the porch instead of running down the hall to the toilet.

Happy to report he finally conformed...:floor:

Well, there's at least one reform!

I can totally relate - after a 35 day wilderness trip we would often opt for the great outdoors instead of the nasty pit toilet at the campground or the icky gas station. Luckily it was a 2 day drive back to civilization so we could retrain ourselves.

I don't mind 'going' outside either.

I just realized that there is no lid on the toilet at my work... CRAP!

You are too danged funny~~~~~

I've found that my co-workers desk pad substitutes quite nicely.

YouTube- Toilet Germs!

Funny video - if you want to check for yourself if this actually happens, just put some food coloring in your toilet bowl, close the lid, flush, and then open the lid and look on the underside. You will never flush your toilet without closing the lid again, and it will make the whole seat up/down argument moot.

Just wanted to give an update on this argument. I want you all to know that because of this video I no longer have a problem putting the seat down. Yes, I have been cured. Honestly, I can't go to the bathroom now without thinking of this video, so if you are having an issue with your significant other putting the seat down, I recommend this video.
My name is Just Curious and I have been putting the toilet seat down for 3 months. :D
