Asian Markets?

Any local Asian markets?

Don't know about the PC side of things, but there are a good number in Ft. Walton Beach. We usually end up at that one on the north side of Racetrack Rd. just a little bit west of Eglin Pwky.

I shop at the one on Beal Parkway just north of where Mary Esther Cut-Off dead ends into Beal. It's small, but crammed full of Asian groceries! Love it!

Normaly, Mom and I go to the Thai Market for our supplies. I think it's on Racetrack rd. They have a little of everythig.

This one is the only place I've been able to find green papayas in the three-county area. Would love a closer source if anybody knows of one. I love me some green papaya salad and salsa.

The lady who owns the store taught me how to make papaya salad the first time I bought one in there. That sweet few moments with her was one of those peak experiences of receiving an unexpected gift. I am so used to crashing around on my own to try new things, most of the time without much help or support -- and she so freely and enthusiastically shared her recipe with me, it was just plain sweet and fine. And except for the sugar, I love her recipe!

There are about 6 asian restaurants between me and the nearest market.

I still had to go every now and then until mahatma started selling their wonderful jasmine.
