Here you go guys.

Thanks for your cooperation in moving your opinions of the industry during this tragic event to this thread...

You're the best!

It's the principle of the issue.

There is a time and place to push the issues associated with drilling to our beloved coastal area, but IMO this isn't the time. Making it a political issue and placing blame while it is still unclear as to what happened and while families are still hoping for signs that their loved ones are still alive is appalling.

Ranks right up there with protesters picketing at a Soldier's funeral to me. While it may be legal, all that does is hurt your cause and credibility.

Really??? That has to be the most morally and intellectually bankrupt statement I've ever heard. How can you compare picketers expressing hatred towards the dead in the presence of their families with somebody pointing out the environmental impact of a tragic event. This is a serious issue that affects all of us. You need to beg, borrow, buy or steal a a clue and a grip, but if your statement is any indication of your typical thought processes, I'm sure it won't do you a bit of good.

and will continue as long as you're clicking on the Politics forum.

Nice to see you over here though.

Sadly though I think it has "leaked" from the political forum and polluted even the lounge. :(

As stated, IMO, there is a time for the discussion. This issue is still in a search/recovery mode. There are many families in the Panhandle that have family members that work in the industry that are very concerned. I'm as much as an advocate against drilling in the GOM as you or anyone else. But to post pictures of the rig burning with "Happy Earth Day" doesn't help the cause. It just pisses off folks.

Your reactions don't surprise me as I have seen the same many times from you in the past. Your entitled to your thoughts but so am I....

Enjoy your life....

I don't find it to be on par with picketing at a funeral, but definitely thought there were some unnecessarily inappropriate comments given the topic and tone of the thread.
