Darlene, as you know the last few weeks of our lives have been...let's just say, stress filled. Many times I have let my mind wander to a weekend last September, on the beach, at the Red Bar, Dread Clampitt rockin' it, and some of the most special women I have been honored to know in my life!

You and Kel have a safe trip down and I don't have to tell you, you will savor every second of your time there. I love how you love SoWal!

You know that I have Crump in my prayers each and everyday. I feel very lucky to have met not only Crump, but your circle of special friends and family. You are an amazing group of folks. You all are the epitome of "true friends" Love you and you give my love to that beautiful beach while you are there! Toes!!!

So sorry to hear about Crump. When you get here we'll all be able to watch you swing in the hammock live. If Crump is well enough and someone can bring him a laptop he'll see you too.

I plan on making a trip over that hammock sometime while I am there. Someone I know is going to be staying at the Villa's and we plan on meeting, so what a better spot than that hammock! Not sure if Crump will be well enough, but I will try and see if I can get someone to bring him a puter.

Sheila, I just now saw this! That September trip was one of the best trips ever. Kelly and I still talk about it. What funn we all had. I know we will do it again sometime.

So much stress in our lives right now. I know you have been through it. I hope things are getting better for you.

I do have the most special friends in the world, I am thankful and grateful for all of them. We will all hold Crump in our hearts as we travel South to our "special place". Thank you for keeping him in your prayers. He is slowly, improving a little each day. No sign of him being released from the hospital yet though. He will probably go to a rehab hospital for a while before he goes back home.

Kelly and I also have a very dear cousin who is at UAB hospital. It is very sad and she is very sick. Her name is Susan, please keep her in your prayers as well.

My heart and thoughts are with all of you who live, work, and vacation in our paradise. You are a wonderful community full of dedicated people willing to do whatever it takes to keep SoWal beautiful. I commend you, and I am so looking forward to being a part of that community for a week.

Hi everyone from the beach. We arrived at Grayton Beach at about 10:30 on Saturday after spending the night in Destin. Had a wonderful breakfast at the Red Bar. Man, what do they put in those Mimosa's? WOW, it was pretty darn good. The food was great as usual.

We walked out to the beach to find whomever would be participating in Hands Across the Sand so we could join hands with them. Franny and Canuck passed us, so we walked out and joined them and DuneAhh. We walked down the beach a little bit and saw some more peeps joining hands so we joined them. I got to hold hands with skunky...what a treat to see him. There were maybe 30 or so people participating. I really expected to see more, everyone said most people were in Seaside. I was proud to be there though no matter how many people were there. Met Carmen on the beach. She is so sweet and it was good to meet her.

My sweet SWGB and Destinscuba brought us some beer and water and we got to visit with them for awhile. SWGB was kind enough to drive us back up to our car to go and check into the condo. Thank you so much sweetie! It was so good to sit on that Beach with Franny, Canuck, DuneAHH, SWGB, and Destinscuba. Love you all!

Got to check into the condo early. Got unpacked and took Jesse and his friend Logan in to Panama City Beach for their speedo's. Oh, yes it was hilarious yesterday on the beach when everyone was sitting there and they walked up in front of where everyone was sitting and stripped to their speedo's and did a little show for everyone. Crazy kids. I have pictures and will post soon.

Yesterday we spent the whole day on the beach. It was beautiful. The water was perfect. We are seeing some tar balls, but nothing huge. I spent a lot of time in that Gulf yesterday. I needed it.

The "clean-up crews" are quite the sight. Not much cleaning up going on. Just a lot of walking around and riding around.

It is a little overcast today and the waves are HUGE!!! A lot of good boarding going on out there.

Not sure what the day will bring. I am going in for a second cup of coffee. Will report more later.

We have high-speed internet service here this year. WOO HOO!!!
