HR 3534 CLEAR Act

New posts
:idontno: Can someone familiar with this please explain. It seems absurd, but i'm confused by what this will mean for our country.

US House puts oceans, coasts under UN: Senate vote will seal the deal

Congress narrowly passes CLEAR Act as Salazar joins GOP opposition ? Colorado Independent

"The bill was touted as a response to BP?s massive and disastrous Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, but it also contained significant onshore drilling reforms that will impact major energy producing states such as Colorado.
The bill contains language barring taxpayers from covering the costs of oil and gas industry cleanup efforts."

Getting outdoors in Walton County....and tarballs :idontno:.

One way or the other, taxpayers must pay for accident clean up activity, be it from the US Treasury or higher prices for petroleum products demanded by companies looking to recoup expenditures. TANSTAAFL! I like the coastal restoration aspect of this bill, however.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to anything with Alex Jones' name attached except perhaps for entertainment purposes.

I don't even know who Alex Jones is, that was just the link that I was taken to from another site regarding this bill.

I like the following site though. very extensive and one i didn't know about before. It's a LOT of reading though. No way i could work in Congress. This crap puts me right to sleep....bet it works that way for many of our elected officials. They don't even know what they're voting for. Sheep.
