"Burlesque" the movie

[joho]

I took the day off from eating yesterday and decided to go see the
movie "Burlesque" with Cher and Christine Aguleria.

Wow

I won't spoil it for any of you who have plans but I will say I enjoyed it very much. Christine and Cher were stunningly beautiful and sexy.

I might add there were several men in the audience who looked like they were enjoying it too.......;-)

I'll give it a two thumbs up!

Yea, two thumbs up. I was one of the men in the audience, but I liked it strictly for the camp/glam/kitsch factor...if you get my drift.

All the reviews say it sucks. well, they didn't put it like that, but.....

[Teresa]

Thanks Joho. I've read mixed reviews but plan to see it no matter what they say!!! sure its camp/glam/kitsch and that's what makes it appealing to me.

I'm not a big fan of Christina but she was terrific in the movie.
Very talented.

I find that reviews in the paper etc. are rarely helpful or indicative of how I feel about the film.

Based on joho and alpha crab's recommendations, I think this is a good one to see!

I just saw Secretariat and that is a GREAT movie! A true old school Disney classic that the whole family will enjoy - no sex, no violence, no cursing, no nudity (though if I never see John Malkovich in shorts again it will be too soon) just funn and a fantastic horse! Though there are some definite kleenex moments.

Showgirls was panned too.

[Dia]

I've heard really good things about this movie - can't wait to see it.

Showgirls was panned too.

Funniest review that I have seen said that it wasn't just bad. It was "Showgirls bad"!

HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!
