Great shots, actually! I just came in after getting a few myself. Without my tripod I had to turn the ISO and exposure way up, so mine are so grainy! I shot in raw, so I'm going to see how they look after working on them and I'll post tomorrow. I wish I could've got some shots from the beach...but I'm in Gainesville, Fl. tonight :(

I thought it was awesome--I felt very small thinking about the fact that the earth was moving through this vast universe.

It seemed to me that the stars dimmed somewhat after the moon turned orange...especially the Big Dipper...was it my imagination, or did that really happen?

Set the alarm,,,,,,,walked out on the deck at 1:35 am..........Total darkness & nothing but clouds.:(

Spectacular shots Arkie!!!:clap:Thanks for sharing!

Tell me what kind of camera did you use? You done good!!

We also stayed up and watched from Blue Mtn - we watched here first and then walked to the beach and from flat on our backs we gazed at fire balls and various constellations, and the Orion nebula - we were using astronomy binoculars and wow that was a trip! The moon was SO 3D in those binoculars. Weren't we so fortunate to have such clear skies!

It was a real event that I'm glad I didn't miss - I think last time I stayed up past 3am was in the early 80's!

Thanks again for sharing your photos.

Like you, Gidget, I was flat on my back on my rear deck enjoying both the glorious moon spectacle amid those super-clear skies.

And like you, Glenda, I felt very small, yet an integral part of something enormously significant - both at the same time.

It was magical. And thanks for the beautiful photos, Arkie!
