2011 State of the Union Address

New posts
When you start using the President's grades as an excuse, you know you're out of ammo.

Talk about the ACTUAL issues.

I voted for him (shocker;-)) and I don't agree with him 100% of the time.

Criticize actual actions, legislation, and philosophy and you will find an audience.

Keep up with the lies and spin and ensure Obama wins in 2012.

There is healthy disagreement on this board. I like that part. There also are those who rely largely on sound bites and get much of their info from blogs or cable TV - that part I find tiring and a frustration, whichever side it comes from.

Were you aware that GW chose not to release his grades either? Do you know why either of them chose not to? How much lower were his scores than Bushes? Please share your knowledge with all of us because I'm sure most of us are anxiously waiting.

I'm wondering how many idiots manage to get positions at universities as constitutional law professors and praise from former students.

Could you also share just a few of the many idiotic things he says? .................... I find your diatribe here a predictable yawner, but have come to expect it from you. How about a New Year's resolution to share more information with us than just rants about how you dislike Obama and liberals.

I am registered as an Independent but consider myself socially liberal and more fiscally conservative or centrist. And I am proud to say I'm liberal in that respect! I see it as a positive.

Since you're too lazy to type in "bush grades compared to Kerry"

I did it for you and the first thing that pops up is

USATODAY.com - Who is smarter, Kerry or Bush?

Funny how when you read the article it says that Bush's grades were released in '99. Hmmm guess they were known contrary to your claims. It seems you are in greater need of a resolution...

I have to agree it is rather boring discussing things with you but I continue to make an effort to provide balance to this unbalanced forum. I too am a registered independent, not really sure what difference it makes?

Wisdom and arrogance is a fine line and certainly always debatable.

"Kerry himself apparently believed it. In April 2004, he was quoted in Newsweek as saying, "I can't believe I am losing to this idiot." The widely published remark was made in an aside to aides while watching a Bush news conference."

As far as dumb statements... I thought everyone knew there were 57 States or thanking the wrong city when he's visiting or defending a long standing Anti-American song being played for the President and Chinese Premier in The White House in a deliberate effort to humiliate us.

Honestly, it's difficult not to know all the instances unless of course your sources don't report them. Get out of the bubble and try looking at things from a different perspective.

Where's the Who Cares button? We're not talking about Bush or Kerry so why are we comparing their grades?

(It's a distraction because he has no real argument - also why he dragged poor QUAYLE into it.)

$5 says we see "meltdown on 30-a part 2" before a substantive argument. ;-)

I must say, I think it ridiculous to speculate on candidates this far before the election.

Aside from incumbents, the candidates discussed at this point are rarely the ones on our ballet come November.

2008 was supposed to be a choice between Hilary and Rudy. ;-)

I disagree.

Before the season, fans of the game participating in a friendly discussion of which team has the best chances. Sometimes they might even call the winners. Other times things end very unpredictably. But the exercise is hardly ridiculous, IMHO.

:idontno:

Oh, I think a discussion of policy/trends is quite fun - just saying that typically we don't even know the names of the REAL candidates at this point.

All my conservative facebook friends are singing the praises of Palin and Bachman. They were awed by Michele's reply to the SOTU. Could a Palin/Bachman ticket be in the works? My omniscient but uneducated father only knows.
