Do you get/give flowers for VD?

If so, what are your favorites?

I have never had a venereal disease and wouldn't think it would warrant flowers.

I do like WILD flowers though.

Hubby knows that I hate red roses for V-day because they are so cliché. In general, I don't like cut flowers because it depresses me that they die so quickly. I'll take an orchid because they last a while, but I only like white ones.

I used to expect jewelry for Valentine's Day, but I'm over that.

Actually for Valentine's Day, I'd much prefer a card with a handwritten note and an easy dinner at home (beef tenderloin, baked potato, and salad).

I'm with ya. Restaurants are so flippin' crowded! I do appreciate some gorgeous white roses, but I understand what you're saying. It's sad when they are gone.
Jewelry...wouldn't know about that. Mr. DD hasn't set foot in a jewelry store since he bought my ring. Sad, but true.

Yeah Kurt, I checked Emily Post I can't find the chapter on the proper etiquette for sending and/or recieving flowers for veneral diseases. The guidelines were very clear, under no circumstances should the aforementioned floral offerings be delivered in person. Peonys are always a nice choice. Not that you need any suggestions.

We've let each other off the hook for V-day. It's such a waste. I know he loves me. I'd prefer a plant to flowers any day.
