Let's talk sunglasses.......

New posts
I have a pair of faux Dolce & Gabanna that I got at a local cheapy shop. They fit perfectly, are the right darkness and they were $4 including a really nice case. I would cry if I lost them. On the other hand, my really nice pair of Maui Jims and my tennis Oakley's are always in hiding.:idontno: What's with that?

I broke one pair of MJs and had to wait a while before I could afford a new pair. I ended up spending just as much on cheap ones that got lost or broken to pay for the good ones. I just take better care of them and they are "always in a case unless they are on my face". I am very picky about the lenses too......HAS to be the MJ bronze polarized.

Perscription sunglasses...If I loose them I am up sheet creek!!! So much for being fashionable

I used to buy crap glasses until a friend convinced me that if I poinied up some big bucks I would take better care of them. Spent about $120 in 1997 for a pair of Torques glasses (not even made, anymore) with Bauch and Lomb aviatior lenses.

I've re-lensed them three times and have had an arm replaced, but I still have them and wear them daily.

I used to buy expensive sunglasses until I realized that no matter how much I spend, I seem to be inacapable of taking care of them. The only way I can keep a pair of glasses in good condition is if I'm wearing them all the time.

I don't mind spending the extra money as I keep track of them better.

I go with the darkest tint I can find and mirror finish. My uncle taught me at a hooters years ago that people can't see where you're looking if the tint is dark enough.

P.S. That only works if you remember not to move your head.
