Scott calls for tighter federal regulation on pill manufacturers | HNF Stories | Health News Florida
Without mentioning his earlier opposition, Scott said the drug database will now be rolled out after being held up by a “lawsuit,” an allusion to an appeal by the losing vendor. That case was resolved last week.

That cleared the way for the Department of Health to begin work, which Surgeon General Frank Farmer – a Scott appointee – authorized last Friday.

Gov. Rick Scott's sale Wednesday of his family's stake in the urgent-care clinic chain Solantic should put to rest questions about whether he would financially gain from his health-care policies, Solantic's CEO said.

I currently have to show photo ID and undergo the Spanish Inquisition to buy OTC cold meds once a year.

And BCBS, the IRS, Target, my doctor, and my accountant already keep records of all my drug purchases.

I don't feel the need to control people's lives. I feel the need to make it easy for law enforcement to catch lawbreakers.

If you want to gobble pills, have at it and don't get behind the wheel.

I want to prosecute the dealers and doctors.

..by negatively impacting the lives of people who honorably purchase these drugs. There are two sides to every coin.
