GOP Primary debate

New posts
I doubt it, but it doesn't pertain to this thread. I brought up Obama's anti-war position, using his call for Bin Laden's assassination to show that even the anti-war Ron Paul could still come through when needed, as did Obama.

Yeah, that proves your point, :sarc: All along President Obama has placed emphasis on Afghanistan vice Iraq. that would also include Pakistan and of course public enemy #1 who could be living there by all reasonable expectation. Who is really surprised by this? Beats me. I'm surprised (and elated) by his success on this mission. The chances of success were about 50/50 at best. Please don't compare our president to some hero of the downtrodden political hack.

The President could end the Afghan war with his signature. There's nothing except his own unwillingness preventing him from doing it.

And the advice of his advisors including the Joint Chiefs. You know damn well ending a war is a lot more difficult than starting one.

Right, and that is why Obama said that he was pulling out the troops if he was elected. Yep, I'm convinced. Most every Republican was worried that Obama wouldn't protect the USA if elected, because of Obama's hard stance against the USA being in war and because of his odd win of the Nobel Peace Prize. Now, some are worried about Ron Paul for the same reason.

When the president took office Afghan troop levels were around 34 thousand, today that number hovers around 100 thousand. If you really want to end that war, Obama is not the guy you should be voting for. Ron Paul on the other hand, I'd bet he'd end it with his signature as soon as he took office.

Ron Paul won a Nobel Peace Prize?? That's news to me.

Now, you are just trying to stir the puddin'.

I like the way you hi-jack the thread with no input on the GOP debate.

I certainly wasn't taking your posts seriously. They were obviously meant to be satirical. Uhm weren't they? Nothing you said made much sense o had any logical consistency.

I didn't watch the debate. I simply asked a reasonable question about Ron Paul's views on foreign policy. As usual you misinterpreted things, and read something into it. Get a clue.

I think joe has a point, Ron Paul has been against this war for years. Obama said many of the same things prior to the election but has failed to come through. In fact, as 30ashopper points out above, on many issues Obama is nothing more than DemoBush. Or maybe Bushama. Ron Paul may be many things but he has a long record of not being Bushlite. Obama can't say the same.
