Things to do in SoWal between Christmas and New Years

Hi All:

We'll be in SoWal between Christmas and New Years and would like your recommendations of things to do. Some of the people in our party are sporty, others (like me) are moderately lazy. But we all like to dance. So far, here's our plan and we'd love your recommendations for things to do.

• NY Eve at Seaside or Alys Beach if Alys Beach is having music. We'll go where the dancing is better.
• Any places that have dancing between Christmas and NY for ages 14 - 59? A 14 year old needs to be able to go wherever we go and he's a great dancer.
• Biking, of course.
• The little peddle cars at Seaside.
• Any heated pools we can use for a fee?
• Is it too cold for kayaking
• How's the fishing?
• Any boat tours?
• Any outdoor music or movies that time of year?

Any recommendations are welcome.

Paula, the surreys have been gone from Seaside for several years now...

Beach Bimmer. Oh no! we'll miss those little surreys at Seaside. It was probably 8 years or so ago when we used them - they were fun. Oh well, off to new things.

Jill. Thanks for the links to the calendars. We'd also consider fishing boat trips if you have any to recommend and if fish are biting this time of year, and kayaking if it's not too cold.
