What is there to say about a company that markets lethal weapons specifically for children? But it's OK, because the mommy said "she didn't know the gun was loaded". Insanity.
And they banned yard darts for being too dangerous.

Maybe if the little girl had been given a gun of her own, this never would have happened.

The girl's grandmother, seems to be dealing with it:
Riddle said she is devastated, but comforted knowing that her granddaughter is in a better place.
"It was God's will. It was her time to go, I guess," she told WLEX. "I just know she's in heaven right now and I know she's in good hands with the Lord."
It was god's will the gun was loaded. God is funny that way. His will is not for the little girl to live a full life but to have her face blown away by her brother. Makes as much sense as anything else the right says these days. God is one hell of a deity.

Well, if God is funny that way, maybe we should take the responsibility away from God, and make it our responsibility that five year old children are taught not to play with loaded weapons. Maybe, if manufacturers are told not to market to children... maybe if parents are told that five years old is too young to be playing with lethal weapons. I do not like guns. I have had some parental guidance about guns, in the past. I have been saturated by the gun culture in this country, but even though I may not be the brainiest bulb in the chandelier, if you have any decency at all, you teach your children to always handle a gun as if it is loaded. Guns plus stupidity equals death. Since you can't fix stupidity, maybe you can try to prevent guns from becoming easily available to the masses of stupidity that pass for "citizens" in this country. Guns for five year old children? This country is sick.

It shouldn't matter if the gun is loaded because a five year old should never be within a mile of an unsecured weapon.

Guns must be the will of god. Why else would the christian right defend them so religiously? The next King James revision will have Moses coming down the mountain with the ten commandments and a glock 9mm. I imagine the speakers at the NRA convention in Texas are scaring their short dicked members with tales of the horrors of a gun free society. Of course, for the 44 percenters, it's hard to start an armed rebellion against your freely elected government with just bare hands.
The only defense against a five year old with a gun is a two year old with a gun.
