Roll call. What are Sowallers' experience this past week?

I got denied. My friends got denied. Time for a conspiracy theory. I wonder how many trucks from DeFuniak will come down on the weekends with stickers...
 
I think you'll see a lot more stickers on SUVs with GA plates than you will rusty trucks from NoWal.
 
They should not be allowing vehicles on the beach at all IMO. People proclaim loudly about oil on the beach but don't seem to have any problem with cars and trucks, some of which undoubtedly leak oil and other lubricants, onto the sand. Let people carry their trash to the beach like everyone else.
 
It is my understanding that if had a valid permit when the lottery system started, and you had a habitable dwelling on your property, you were "grandfathered" and get your permit renewed every year. Our permit falls under this category-we don't have to be in the lottery, we just renew.

But- if you get a permit from the lottery, it is only good for one year, and you have to re-enter the lottery every spring.
 
What were the odds of getting one in the lottery? If 5 people applied for every permit......
 
I can do math, that was just an example. I don't know the actual number of applicants or permits.
