All of his "color" books deep blue good bye, girl in a brown paper bag..about 15 of them maybe. Travis Mc Gee lives on a houseboat in Cedar Key surrounded by his quirky neighbors. Many imitators of this character over the years by other florida authors. .Hall's thorn. ..White's doc ford..

I don't recall him ever having an adventure in Cedar Key
and I read each of them multiple times as a kid

He recently moved to 30a, bought a DR Horton / Emerald Homes residence, found he didn't have dedicated beach access, only a seasonal shuttle and got pissed off.
Later, he read an article about South Florida DR homes with mold issues and how buyers financed through DRs in house team and got screwed. He still has quirky neighbors and just lost his opportunity at a free beach access due to the BCC vote last night! (Boys and girls club land on 30a).
Next he'll be looking to oppose anything that resembles a business license, even though all other prospering counties have embraced the idea.
We'll have vape stores all over 30a.

Duly noted. Yes, Bahia Mar??? I don't know if you read Randy Wayne White or James W Hall, but both of those series have about crapped out. I am reading Jeff Abbott right now (and have) really good books. Of course it is hard to beat Tim Dorsey for general mindless hilarity...Serge Storms, which I believe is actually Leader of the Banned...
