Slow your roll there Local. Seattle is certainly doing well, as it was prior to the new minimum wage law. But let's actually analyze some facts, shall we.

2. Legal challenges are already piling up. Some companies have to act before others. How is this fair?

I agree that higher wages are a good thing. But only time, and the full implementation of the law, will allow a full analysis of it's outcomes. Hardly the glowing endorsement of a law that isn't even required yet.

I love paying higher prices. Up the minimum wage to 15 bucks an hour, 85% increase. So now you have a fast food worker making 32k a year, a college graduate averaging 45k and HORRIBLY.....a fast food worker would get paid more than a PFC 22k, a Seargant with 4 yrs exp. 31k and almost as much as second Lieutenant at 34k. Not to mention your food or clothing will have to go up at least 33 -50%. Is it smart to almost double minimum wage..absolutely not. It is irresponsible and will cause backlash as buisness owners simply cant afford employees and while the typical liberal response is " you have to pay these poor people more" when the prices of a latte at Starbucks goes from 4 to 6 bucks. People will find other options. Do minimum wage worers need to be paid more...sure but lets raise the wage in 20% increments.

Just think when you retire and want to supplement your income with a greeter job at Wal-mart how much money you'll be taking in.
 
I assume a Columbus day sale means I can walk into a store, take anything I want without paying, and kill anyone who resists. It's also known as a white sale.
 
Why don't we lighten things up a bit and talk about ebola babies.
