The post about the baby drowning in the baptismal tank was absolute perfection. It revealed the futility of prayer and faith. If there is one place an innocent should be safe it is in the house of the Lord. The reason so many acted offended is because it exposed the irrefutable hypocrisy. You weren't really offended you just wanted to be offended.

poppy, you really are a piece of work! I don't go to church, but I do know there is a higher being looking after us at times in our lives. He/She does not do it all the time and things do happen to all of us that cause us to wonder why me? I am not offended by your lack of belief only saddened by the fact that you do not understand the belief of others. Some of us have had incidents in our lives that strengthen that premise. A final note. As I have said before, it is beneath the dignity of rational discourse to reply to you. I have gone against that promise. Once again you prove you have no idea what you are talking about because you don't know there is a higher being, you just believe it. I have no problem with someone having a religion or expressing faith. I believe in none of it and have a right to highlight the contradictions between the teachings and reality. My granddaughter was taught in pre-K that Jesus will always protect you. Not so as proved by this sad incident. Now is it true or not true? It can not be both. Do they just embellish or make things up to influence young minds? Why not be realistic and teach that no one really knows how The Lord works or that prayer can't be proven to work? It would much more honest. I also beg you to respond to me. Do I have to be rational in your opinion for a response? Hell, I respond to 'ducer and I have no idea how to describe him/her.
