Who will win Florida Governor's race?

One of my neighbors who paid almost $500,000 for his house in 2006 would love to be able to sell it for more than the $210,000 that it's been appraised in our "booming economy". He's been transferred.

He was an idiot for buying a house in 2006 for 500K. His woes have nothing to do with a failing economy. He bought in at the high end of a bubble and it bit him in the arse. There is no way the fair value of that house was 500k at the time. The damn fool was probably dumb enough to think he was going to be able to sell it for a profit. I remember in 2006 kicking back, watching the train wreck, happily uninvolved.

So you knew the meltdown was coming? I'm glad you're happy that a lot of other people lost all they had while you gloated. Some of us don't think of our friends as "damn fools" for not seeing into the future. Do you also tell fortunes as a sideline?

I'm not happy that they got burned, i'm happy that I wasn't dumb enough to get involved. Anyone with half a brain could see that coming. Sorry, just telling it like it is. Yes they are fools, and hopefully as a result they grew half a brain. We all do dumb things. the smart people own up to it, kick themselves, and then move on. The losers whine about it for the rest of their sorry lives and look for scapegoats.

There was a strange sort of herd mentality going on during that period. Many normal people thinking that it was totally righteous and possible to make 100% profit in a month or two. If everybody had just stayed at a sane 15% or 20% profit expectation... Nobody thought they were risking anything, just jumping on the gravy train.

Google Clinton housing policies and the financial collapse of 2008. It will enhance your opinion of exactly who is to blame. Bush was deregulation, Clinton forced banks to lend in low income...high risk areas. The policies were bastardized and twisted by banks to create a Ponzi scheme and the bluff got called in 07 and 08.

Wanna watch something really scary http://www.globalresearch.ca/25-fas...biggest-ponzi-scheme-in-world-history/5373609

Really? In Jan. 2004 GW pushed for low income no money down mortgages for people with blemished credit.

You and 'Leader' certainly have exceptional powers of reading between the lines. What I read into Meggiemom's post was that her friend bought a house in 2006 with the expectation that it wouldn't lose value. Now it's time to sell it and it's no longer worth what it was. Without knowing where the house is, how big it is or anything else this person is called a "damn fool" and some other names. As for your post, I can't figure out what the hell you're talking about. But perhaps you can convince good old Charlie Crist to lower his contingency fees to 15 or 20 percent on all his personal injury cases since you're into low profit margins. After all chasing ambulances is a big business.

The mess wasn't created in 4 years. It took much longer. Check into the Dems forcing Sallie Mae and Freddie Mac to take on more high risk loans for low income borrowers.

You might actually learn something. Of course, you won't find it among the Dem talking points you normally parrot on here.

EDIT: Even gave you a link to help you on your way.
