For years it has been the policy of the Walton BCC that issues concerning South Walton would be heard and decided at a meeting held in South Walton. This is a fair policy, but why is the reverse not true as well? Last week the Code Enforcement Board decided the issue of the airport on C-605 at a meeting held in Santa Rosa Beach. Regardless of what your position is, this is a big issue for citizens in the North and has resulted in lawsuits and much discussion. Many of the citizens effected by this issue are elderly and would have difficulty traveling 50 miles to attend a meeting. Why wasn't this meeting held in DFS, or better yet, Paxton? Shouldn't county policy be fair to everyone?
