When you have approximately 700 visitors viewing two homes in Seaside for two days where on earth do you expect them to park??? A volunteer for the Valentine Tour of Homes was overheard commenting on how many visitors were angry over the parking issues in Seaside. The visitors paid $25.00 a person to see two of the homes in Seaside and were totally overwhelmed by the $53.00 parking ticket they found on the windsheilds of their cars upon returning. Encouraging hundreds of people to an event with absolutely no parking on a three day weekend and a wedding being held on site was not the best decision. Most of the people were elderly and had to walk miles to see the homes. My question is how does a community have an event without parking permits to handle that many people? And what are the consequences if you don't pay the fines issued by security patrol? It sure would be interesting to investigate just how many $53.00 parking citations were issued? Happy Valentines Weekend Visitors and Locals.....
