Fall Love Bug Season

WD40 or Pledge works really good. Nice lemony scent, too. Only problem is that it attracts bees!

I hate those little SOBs.

Returning home after 8 days. No bugs. Perfect water. Absolutely best water ever. Dolphins everyday. Pelicans. Spent most of our days at the beach - as it should be. Ellen

They were horrible driving through LA and East TX a week ago. We stopped 3 or 4 times to clean them from windshield and lights. I discovered their smushed selves stink like cow poo too! Nasty things! .... and RO, they didn't seem to hurt the paint on our 16 year old van. bwahaha - at least we couldn't tell. ;)

My best love bug story...

Rode motorcycles down from Atlanta a number of years ago with a bunch of guys for Thunder Beach. I have a Goldwing. Nice big touring bike with full fairing. All the other guys were on cruisers with either no windshield at all or a very small one.

Hit lower Alabama, and hit the love bugs. We had to stop about every 30 miles or so for all the other guys to get off the bikes and to shake all the bugs out of their shirts from where they got in through their sleeves. They had bugs all over their faces and helmets. I say "they" because I was clean as a whistle and laughed my arse off at them. If you've ever seen Me, Myself, and Irene...yes, it was that bad!
