A Southern Night Before Christmas

New posts
I eat my biscuits with cane syrup my family makes but it is a hard decision to pass up that southern gravy :) I love Christmas in the SOUTH! Fishin and huntin is part of my Southern Christmas tradition. Pecan pies too...
Is that sur-up or sear-up and pa-con or pee-can?

It is sur-up and pee-can but the debate with the rest of my family is ongoing :) I will say that a very wise and successful pecan farmer told me when I was a teenager that the correct way to say pecan comes from the last syllable...can. I remember saying to myself that wise men seem to be connected to common sense :)

Agree on the sur-up, but I’m from the
pa-con school of pronunciation.
