Reference a loyalty oath. My only Loyalty is to my Country, not a party, not a politician. I don't have to agree with everything a politician or party stands for to vote for them, but I will probably be hard pressed to vote for someone whose loyalty is to a party and not the country.

This is what keeps me from joining a political party as I feel I would be obligated to support their entire platform. Even though I have voted both D and R in the past I doubt I will ever vote R again.
The last R I voted for was Danny Glidewell and we all know how that went.
I have no problem voting for someone whose loyalty is to both as long as the country is first.

My struggle is with the attitude that "we are doing what is best for the Country"! Scary that attitude could lead us to so many Not American Things.
 
“I think what’s going to happen is because we did those reforms, it now is more economical for companies to come in,” DeSantis said. “I think they’re going to wait through this hurricane season and then I think they’re going to be willing to deploy more capital to Florida.”

“So knock on wood (that) we won’t have a big storm this summer,” he also said. “Then I think you’re going to start to see companies see an advantage.”
