"I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammad and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It's just that the translations have gone wrong."

? John Lennon

We miss you John......

[DD]

Yes, we do.

I think of him every year on this date.

[Kurt]

If God is infinite then all things are possible, including an old man in the sky, and a sea slug orbiting a distant dark star.

Imagine.

John could see into the 5th dimension without special glasses.

Thanks to John Lennon, it is easy to "imagine" many things today... I imagine a day when gay men and women will be able to both serve our country openly and enjoy the benefits of marriage.

[Beach Runner]

Yes, we do.

I think of him every year on this date.

Me too.

Our neighbors didn't understand why I flew our flag at half mast during the week starting 12/8/80. That week I listened to "Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)" from Double Fantasy over and over while sobbing.

[GoodWitch58]

it sure seemed like a more friendly universe back then...

[Lake View Too]

it sure seemed like a more friendly universe back then...

"nothing is real...and nothing to get hung about..."

I am a hugh Beatles fan and they were my generation. But let's not get crazy. John Lennon's Imagine was really about drugs, LSD mainly. I love John Lennon but you really can't think very realistically about the world when wearing rose colored glasses. Yes, if you are stoned it is a very friendly universe.
