4,000 dead from swine flu

Anyhoooooooooooooo................

So basically we need to be proactive and preventative regarding swine flu, but it isn't a plague just yet.

Bingo!

And exactly what is it that he should have done????

"Well.......You boys behave"...or what?????

Aside from your "cute," insensitive comments, he could have allayed the fears, panic, and general misconceptions that made most people with AIDS unnecessarily ostracized from society at the time.

Example: Even when evidence surfaced that it was not contageous or airborne, Reagan said nothing to the American people--NOT very responsible OR presidential IMO!

Oh my. Here we go again. If this disintegrates any further into maggot banter y'all will have to get a dose of the newly created fly shots. Sowal.com has plenty in stock.

I conur! I lived through the AIDS epidemic and lost many close friends during the 1980's....at least there is a vaccine for the swine flu.

Thanks for talking me back from the ledge and plunging into the AIDS fingerpointing.

Please plunge in anytime. Your educated thoughts and opinions are always welcome especially in your chosen field.

A large number typically die from the flu, but swine flu is more worrisome/getting more press because it kills those who would normally survive the flu.

Scooty making sense as always!

In addition, it is important because it is a pandemic that came out of nowhere (OK a farm in Mexico, but you know what I mean). We are not the least bit naturally immune to it. If it were a deadlier bug, we would be in some serious trouble.

I hope we can take some good lessons from this experience, because despite the seemingly good-faith efforts of the Bush and Obama administrations, we clearly are not prepared for a truly deadly pandemic.
