A disastrous start to a Presidency

New posts
Hey guys,

McCain and Palin didn't win. As Obama told John , "the campaign is over and we won." Everytime someone speaks out about Obama or the Democrats...this alway comes up. It is like a broken record, or very outdated Speaking Points.

Yes, Obama is our President...all decisions, outcomes and problems now belong to him. We can't blame anyone but his administration for how things are going or not going. My main concern is that he has surrounded himself with some questionable folks who might have their own agenda and not have the experience or our country's best interest. Broken promises whether they are 32% or 10% are too many...a man gives his word and has to be judged by that. A promise is a promise!

It really is a shame that McCain didn't win, then we wouldn't all be arguing about this. We'd be in soup lines and fighting for Public Works projects.
SWGB, you really should quit worrying. At the rate things are presently going, people will be in those soup lines and fighting for public works projects before you know it.

Far be it for me to remind people that it was "socialist" government programs (that incurred deficits) that helped many survive the Depression.

What really helped people survive the depression was the fact World War II came along.

The "real" propaganda here is what isn't being reported. The policy changes being made today will start to trickle in. When "the people" start to experience them first hand they're going to start breaking out the pitch forks.

The silent majority will no longer be silent and the progressives will be running with their tails between their legs just like what happened after Wilson's term. Don't mess with our Constitution.

We've never experienced true hyperinflation. Gov't intrusion doesn't solve problems. It prolongs them and makes them worse.

Interesting how the, then, largest domestic terrorist attack caused massive government spending and resulted in one of the largest economic expansion periods in US history, but the larger attack did the opposite.
