It also makes me crazy that people criticize this (above) and that people make fun of his education--isn't a good education what we all want for our children? and when we get a wonderful role model as President, half the country belittles him.
Where is the reasoning in that? Do we really want a leader who can't pronounce words properly? I guess some people do...but, I surely can not understand why.

It's all political nonsense - saying words properly means you are an over-educated elitist instead of an "everyman" who probably can't find said country on a map. :roll:

Note that noone in the "spin" department has anything negative to say about the fact that Gen. Patraeus pronounces it the exact same way - correctly.

IMO its pretty damn important that we know enough about countries we are fighting wars in/next to/in partnership with to actually say their names correctly but that is probably because I am one of those elitist liberals types. :roll:
