Thank you to the little birdie who told me I have birthday wishes waiting for me on SoWal. :wub: It's nice to be remembered even though I've been awol for ages! I guess I am a single-focus kind of girl and right now my mind is only on renovating my old house. Everything--like SoWal and e-mails and talking on the phone--it's all gone by the wayside as we tear the house apart from top to bottom. What it is about being an empty-nester that makes you go domestically beserk? We're painting and laying down flooring and putting in windows and restoring woodwork...and that's only the tip of the iceberg. Inasmuch as I followed SoWal, now I am on all the home renovation & decorating blogs trying to learn as much as I can. I can tell you all about e values of window glass (if you want to know :lol:). Thankfully it'll all be done by Thanksgiving, at which point you will find me in my beloved SoWal. It's been a while. Like way too long!!!
 
wow! who knew you were going all out doing a massive renovation!? I'm not at all surprised. It is your passion, right? Glad to hear from you. Let us know how its going from time to time, and share your lessons, blogs, etc with us when you can.:wave:
 
I can't believe you are remodeling your house without input from the Sowal peanut gallery! :D Are you redoing it like the CAA house in Watercolor you liked/worked at?

Sounds so Mermy-esque!

We renovated our home (built in 1989) for the wedding. It looks beautiful. Now we are thinking about downsizing because it is in tip-top shape and we have to do it eventually.

Enjoy playing house, birthday girl!
